Wow, let me just say that I related to this chapter very much. I am experiencing a battle in my life right now and have felt every emotion that you have stated in your book so far. Being able to know that you have someone who loves you as much as Jesus does makes up for all the pain and hurt but it is so hard to see it when you are going through it. Thanks To Diana this book came right in time following a recent break up. IT is refreshing to be reminded that you are not alone!!!

Diana,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us and the other readers. Yes, I think we've all been in a season when satan lies to us and tells us that "God betrayed us." Those lies are so sneaky. I hope that all of our faith is growing as we see God's truth and learn to take captive the lies that steal our joy.
We are praying for you and your book club. I pray you experience the goodness of walking by faith and trusting God in every season.
For His Glory, Marian

"Although at the time I still didn't 'get' God's big plan, I knew I would never find joy or happiness apart from Him." (p. 71) The more I read, the more I can relate. To be honest, at the beginning of the book, I didn't feel I had had a wilderness so intense as the one you described. As you get more descriptive in the things you felt and what God has revealed to you since, I can recall the times in which I felt God had "betrayed" me - times when I felt alone and even punished for no reason. I'm actually starting to look forward to the things yet to be revealed to me through future wilderness seasons!
